Job Description

Sunshine Garden Industries is seeking a candidate for the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to start in August.

The CMO is responsible for trade and business communications with a key focus on supporting the advertising and affiliate revenue goals of the Company. This position serves as a primary strategist on trade and business communications and a spokesperson for the company.

This individual creates multiple strategic communications activities, both proactive and reactive, to expand the company visibility to the trade, financial, business, affiliate and advertising audiences, supporting distribution, revenue goals and general awareness. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key trade media is also an integral element of this important role.

Responsibilities:

•Must be creative and artistic.
•Must have an understanding and passion for the entertainment industry.
•Must manage high-profile stories both on a reactive and proactive basis and develop and implement strategies to contain stories when necessary.
•Ability to develop strategic media plans, including talking points, key messages, Q&A and background messaging for executive press interviews.
•Must have an understanding and passion for overseeing public relations & marketing within our company.
•Must have computer skills (MS WORD, Publisher, Excel)
•Ability to be a team leader as well as a team player.

College degree is not mandatory, but it is recommended (MA or MS degree in media communications or entertainment business management is preferred).
