Job Description

Post Production Technical Assistant

Busy television production company seeking a technical assistant to support its post production operations. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of technical competence as well as strong teamwork and people skills.

Responsibilities

• System maintenance and user support for both hardware & software
• Install, configure, and maintain post production and general IT infrastructure and equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with networks, workstations, laptops, and servers
• Work with technology vendors and providers to resolve technical issues
• Assist with system updates and monitoring of computer equipment for proper operation
• Assist with inventory and technical documentation of systems and processes

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, *nix, Microsoft Office and web-based applications
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking and computing concepts
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred - Experience with video editing software and hardware (Avid Media Composer/Symphony, breakout boxes, tape decks, various other A/V equipment)
