Shot in the style of part-documentary, part reality show, this is a non-union project that will consist of interviews and family sequences about the fathers of LGBTQ children. Our first shoot indoors at a residence in La Mirada, CA over Christmas weekend.
We will share raw glimpses into the lives of the fathers through revealing interviews that show a range of emotions--courage in the face of societal pressure, humor in seemingly uncomfortable moments and, quite frankly, ridiculous, loveable outtakes that show families coming together when they least expect it. We plan to highlight interactions between fathers and their children.
The LA shoot will include the following shooting sequences:
• Interview with the dad
• Interviews with their children
• Shoot sequences over Xmas eve dinner.
• B-roll of indoor family activities, family footage and photos

APP’s focus is on families, especially parents of LGBTQ individuals, as we understand that parents go through a coming out process too.
