Job Description

We're Seeking a Skilled, Creative, and Passionate DIRECTOR For a New Comedy Series That's Ready For The Majors.

"DK the gig" Is About a Middle-Aged Hasn't-Been Musician Whose Ego Is Much Larger Than The Restaurant Stage He Performs On.

The show has elements of The Office (more the British than the American version), Louie, Extras, Eastbound and Down, The Larry Sanders Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc. etc.

DIRECTORS: Please have AT THE VERY LEAST 5-10 years of doing high-level SCRIPTED COMEDY work. We need a masterful craftsman to take this to the next level. The show has already had major interest and right now we want to align the show with the best possible people to move forward with.

***Please keep in mind while watching the Pilot that even though we are still very proud of it, it did not come out exactly the way we wanted it to, which is why we're looking for a new Director. Unfortunately, it had to be edited down from 15 minutes to 9 minutes, losing 3 main characters and plot lines, etc. in the process. Also, there is more dimension to the lead character than you get to see here. But...the Pilot will definitely give you a good idea of what we're going for. Also, we will be recasting most of the parts outside of the lead.

This is a paid position. Salary is negotiable.

We will most likely shoot sometime between Feb/March 2017, in or around Philadelphia.

The ideal candidate has indie experience and is highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, passionate, and likes a challenge. Please be well-versed in indie production.
