Job Description

Remote Facilities Inc., is looking to add an experienced Satellite Uplink Operator to our team. As a member of our crew, you will be vital in maintaining our commitment to leading the broadcast, entertainment, event industries with the critical services needed in the production and transmission of live and pre-produced events.

Candidates should have 3-5+ years engineering experience with KU Band and full knowledge of SNG systems. A class-b CDL License and knowledge of trailering equipment is required of all applicants. While we are based in Greater Boston, this job requires extensive travel across the United States. An ideal candidate has a passion for transmission, eagerness to travel, and self-sufficient attitude towards truck operation and maintenance. When not on location, some shop and bench work will be required and expected.

Duties will include:
- Transportation, Operation, and Maintenance of all Trucks, Trailers, and associated gear
- Coordinate all equipment needs and truck matters with clients as per their specs
- Keep logs in accordance with ICC and DOT Rules and Regulations
- Assist with all incoming and outgoing shipments of equipment
- Test and report on all rental gear
- Perform related surveys when needed

Knowledge requirements:
- HD Encoding, Decoding, and Muxing
- RF Technologies
- HPA Devices
- Ability to read schematics
- AC power systems and power distribution
- Fiber Optic Systems and troubleshooting
- IT Switch and program interfacing
